What can your roof produce?
The State has measured every roof in Luxembourg from the air (solar cadastre). Enter your address to see your roof's figures.
Data from the national solar cadastre (geoportail.lu). Your address is only used for this search and is not stored.
The solar cadastre has no data for this building. Click directly on the roof on the map, or ask for quotes anyway: installers measure on site.
Subsidies for a kWp system
- State Klimabonus
- Commune
- Total
Estimate according to the official 2026 formulas. The Klimabonus is deducted directly from the installer's invoice (prefinancing).
Where do these figures come from?
The State's solar cadastre (national geoportal) has measured every roof in the country: orientation, slope, shade from trees and neighbouring buildings. For each building it gives:
- the suitable area – the part of the roof that gets enough sun for panels;
- the yearly production in kWh if that whole area were covered;
- the maximum power in kWp;
- the suitability: ★★★ very suitable, ★★ suitable.
How to read the result
A house does not need to cover its whole roof: a 6 to 10 kWp system usually covers a household's consumption, electric car included. In Luxembourg, 1 kWp on a well-oriented roof produces roughly 900 to 1 000 kWh a year.
The data come from the latest aerial survey. A roof window, a chimney, a tree that has grown or a renovation can change the result: the installer always checks on site.
The map
The map is the national geoportal's (geoportail.lu). It only loads after your search; click another roof to analyse it. The 3D aerial view shows your roof from several angles.
